Position Overview: Site Safety Specialist
We are looking for a Site Safety Specialist to deliver essential HSE support. This pivotal role aids in the implementation and maintenance of the HSE Management System, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. The specialist will foster a positive safety culture and facilitate ongoing improvements in HSE performance.
Location: Based in Denver, CO + Up to 70% travel.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate safety initiatives as directed by the Lead HSE Coordinator
- Assist in investigating incidents and analyzing reports
- Identify and rectify hazards; possess stop work authority when unsafe conditions are present
- Support supervisory safety inspections and ensure adherence to safety regulations
- Conduct daily inspections of project sites
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of relevant experience in HSE preferably in Power or Heavy Civil
- In-depth understanding of Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements
- Strong analytical skills with proven problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with changing priorities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; adept at building relationships
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Occupational Health/Safety)
- Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time (subject to change)
